About Heather Wellman
Heather Wellman was a genuine Volunteer, who loved horses, cats and her friends who shared her passions.
Heather was a founding Director of Eventing Canada [!] whose mandate is to promote Horse Trials and Three Day Event with training opportunities and bursaries for all Athletes in the Sport.
She previously served as a Director of both Ontario Horse Trials Association (OHTA) and Horse Trials Canada (HTC).
Heather's lilting voice was heard announcing at many competitions in the province, and she made of point of learning about as many of the competitors and their families and friends as possible.
Heather never backed down from promoting that in which she believed, and was committed to supporting the Young Riders in their quest for knowledge and competition across the country.
When Heather passed away in July 2002, the Sport lost a truly wonderful friend, Volunteer and go-too person, who would do almost anything to promote, assist and dream about the future of our Athletes.
