Ride for Riders July 1, 2001 Clinic Report by Jennifer Coleman Over one hundred enthusiastic participates were on hand for this years Ride for Riders event. While the weather threatened not to
cooperate, no one got too wet and couldn't be deterred from hitting the course. What better way brush up mid season or introduce a new horse or rider to the sport of eventing than with a clinic with some of
Ontario's top Athletes and Coaches? Ride for Riders, established in 1997 by Eventing Canada [!], is designed to assist disadvantaged Athletes. In 2001 we were able to add an additional $4,102
to the Event Riders Benevolent Fund. A special thank you to the following clinicians who donated their time for this worth while cause: Nicole Parkin, Anita Nemtin-Gilmour, Margaret Godson, Martha Griggs, MH Lessard ,
Tilka Prost, Lindsay Mahon, Linda Hasmatali, Karen Briggs, Paul Delbrook, Morag O'Hanlon, Corry Boyd, Moira Laframboise, Jennifer Thompson, Fran Warwick, and Kellie Towers. A special thanks to Russell Smith, for generously donating the beautifully presented Checkmate Farm, for this worthwhile enterprise |
