was held at the King Community Centre, King City, ON, in the heart of horse country. The entertaining evening offered a silent auction for eclectic items, exceptional food, dancing, affordable bar and an opportunity to socialize with friends in advance of the competition season.
The evening also saw the award of two $1,000 bursaries. Amanda Beard became the first recipient of the "Heather Wellman Bursary". A second Bursary was awarded to Ursula Selby
from Eventing Canada. The silent auction was the largest ever. There were several opportunities for XC schooling, clinics, lessons and competition entries to spark plans for another season of
our dynamic and thrilling sport. There was a huge variety of horsey-equipment to help us replenish our tack rooms, including 3 saddles, and much more besides. From peoplewear, to horsewear, from ornaments to appliances
they came, they bid, they enjoyed. Whitfield Farm Caterers provided a fabulous buffet-style dinner. This year proved no disappointment, with a demanded repeat performance from this professional team.
The evening went off without a hitch, thanks to the dedicated crew of volunteers: Jen Coleman, Lyn Hart, Janette Leask, Scott Meldrum. Arthur Tateishi, Andrea Tong and Denise Zergiewicz.
