Eventing Canada [!] "back to basics "imagine (!) 2002"
The 7th annual Imagine[!] proved yet again to appeal to the
hearts of the eventing community. This year the Mono Community Centre was filled with a record number of donations from a multitude of generous donors. Participants came from far and wide, braving the winter
weather, to bid enthusiastically on the wide variety of items. There was something for everyone!
It was a perfect opportunity to catch-up on the pre-season gossip. There were several opportunities for XC schooling, clinics, lessons and competition entries to spark plans for another season of our
dynamic and thrilling sport. There was a variety of horsey-equipment to help us replenish our tack rooms and much more besides. From peoplewear, to horsewear, from ornaments to appliances they
came, they bid, they enjoyed. A fabulous buffet-style dinner was provided by Whitfield Farm Caterers. This year proved no disappointment, with a demanded repeat performance from this professional team.
The evening went off without a hitch, thanks to the dedicated crew of volunteers: Arthur Tateishi, Brent Fillingham, Scott Meldrum, Laura Richard, Jen Coleman, Laura Young, Dan Smith, Graeme
Thom, Heather Wellman, Marcia Darling, Janette Leask and Sue Grocott. Eventing Canada[!] thanks the donors, the volunteers, the catering crew, Mono Community, and,
especially, the participants for helping us raise over $7000 to support our sport in 2002."
