imagine (!) 2001 - Fun Festivities at Glen Oro Three day Event!
Eventing Canada [!] hosted the seventh annual imagine (!) fund raising party on September 1, 2001. Held in the main tent during the Glen Oro CCI* and TrainingThree Day Event Clinic, guests were greeted by a profusion
of red and white balloons turning the tent into a bright and cheerful venue to party, dine and shop.
160 people, riders, volunteers and supporters of the sport, had a terrific evening; with a fabulous fajita bar for dinner, cash
bar and interesting and unusual items on which to bid. A live band rounded out the festivities.
"We were thrilled by the turn out". Said EC Director Heather Wellman. "Raising funds is always a challenge, but here we all had fun
and still raised over $8,000.00 for the sport. Everyone really got into the bidding on the silent auction items, and there was some fierce competition on many items. The sales ranged from $20.00 for 1 ½ lbs. of fudge to over $500
for a beautiful original metal sculpture. We had horse blankets, Harry Potter puzzles, many non horsey items as well as things every horseperson can use"
Eventing Canada [!] not only raises much needed dollars for the sport of
eventing, they also organize educational clinics for riders at all levels with internationally acclaimed coaches.
