imagine (!) 2000 Report

April Fools' Day saw over 100 afficianados of the Sport of Horse Trials and Three Day Event attend Monora Community Centre in Orangeville, ON for what has become an anticipated Spring tradition --- " imagine (!)".

This popular silent auction attracted avid participants to bid for such hotly contested items as H20 brassieres and panties, generously donated by Lillian Reinfels, an artist's proof by Klaas Verboom, generously donated by Suzanne Allan, and a breeding to the extremely popular Eventing pony stallion, Sebastian, donated by the owners of Irish Park Connemaras, Lori & Douglas Craine.

"I have never seen such avid bidding", exclaimed Heather Wellman, a Director of Eventing Canada (!), who spearheaded

the efforts to ensure the success of the evening. "The food was excellent, the facility slightly remote, but ideal, and the DJ, Ken Burgess, knew exactly what tunes to play to get the crowd up dancing".

By the time the music died, and the enthusiastic bidders departed from the centre, Eventing Canada (!)'s volunteers tallied over $12,000. 00 to support the Athletes and Competitions of the Sport.
