Heather Wellman Youth Bursary Awarded

On 17th June, at our Annual imagine(!) event, Eventing Canada(!) awarded the 2006 Heather Wellman Youth Bursary to Candice Hazenburg from Abbortsford, British Columbia.

Candice, who is currently working with Chelan Kozak at 3Daze, finished Grade 12 this year and is currently riding Sandra Malinoski's Carmanah Light (Carly). This year she hopes to compete at the advanced level. The pair are already on the long list, working towards Candice's goal of representing Canada.

After receiving the bursary, Candice said, " Thank you! I am so fortunate and honoured to be this year's recipient of the heather Wellman Youth Bursary. Finances are an ever-present and challenging aspect of this fascinating Sport of Eventing. This bursary is a tremendous support and encouragement. Please extend my gratitude to the selection committee for their time and effort."
